This guide is for replacing the logic board on the Playstation 2.
Problems : defective logic lath, won't turn on, issues during the game

Step 1

Before disassembling the logicboard of your Playstation 2, you have to turn it off for safety reasons.

Unplug the power and video cables of the console.

Remove the 8 prophylactic screw protection circled in ruby-red on the beginning picture.

With a pair of tweezers, take hold of and remove them.

Footstep 2

Employ a cruciform screwdriver and remove the eight screws circled in cherry-red.

Then lift off the elevation cover and remove it.

Pace 3

With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the 2 screws circled in red.

Those screws secure the controller ports ane and ii and memory carte du jour reader.

Lift them off.

Step four

Use a nylon spudger in order to unlock the retentiveness menu / controller ports cable connector.

And then remove the cablevision as shown on picture 3 and 4.

Step 5

Remove the retention card reader / controller ports.

Step 6

Lift the motherboard assembly from its front edge and remove it from the lower instance.

Grab the cables and remove the fan.

That spiral secures the fan.

With the cruciform screwdriver, remove the spiral circled in red.

That screw secures the fan grid and the power cablevision.

Remove information technology.

Pace 17

Apply the cruciform screwdriver again and remove the 9 screws circled in ruby-red.

Those screws secure the primary frame to the logic lath.

Step 18

Use the nylon spudger and unclip the frame from the logic board.

Step nineteen

Lift and remove the frame from the console.

Footstep xx

Gently disconnect the power cable from the optical disk drive motor and the other power cable as shown on the motion picture.

Step 21

Then disconnect the eject organization cable and the power and eject buttons cable.

Step 22

With the nylon spudger, unlock the connector from the optical drive cablevision.

So remove it gently.

Step 23

You lot can now separate the logic board from the optical drive.

Stride 24

The logic board of your Playstation 2 is now disassembled.

Y'all can supersede it with a new one if needed.
